Hi all,

It's been a while since I sent any messages to the group but I find it
necessary now.

Has anyone successfully installed Pagestream in Yosemite (10.10.2)?

I did a clean install of Yosemite and a clean install of Pagestream 5.0.5.9
but to say it runs is an overstatement.

I was able to locate the various windows on the screen and set to "remember"
... that much works. It will not respond to "Open" but will for "New"

So you get a blank page and select the text box tool and draw a box which
appears not to have happened. What I discovered was that if you drew the text
frame and then clicked on the menu bar the outline became visible. Likewise
select the text tool and click in the now visible text frame and nothing seems
to happen but click in the menu bar and you get a cursor. So it goes ... type
some text, nothing, click in menu bar, text appears, change its size, nothing,
menu bar, text resizes .. and so on.

If you select "Preferences" you get the preference window but nothing appears
in the left column but if you click anyway that row highlights and you can
work your way down and the right side changes appropriately.

So although PGS was working perfectly in Snow Leopard it is not in Yosemite.

This will suffice for now but I am hoping someone has successfully got PGS
running and enlighten me and others who may have the same problem

If you can tolerate the bugs in 5.0.5.8, that version works in Yosemite as well as it does in previous releases of OS X.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the tip. I don't know what bugs you might have been referencing but
I have discovered one ... it's messy when you menu select Fonts > Choose ...
the display gets all messed up as you scroll up and down ... frustrating but
survivable. You can guess I took your advice and installed 5.0.5.8 ... so what
makes the difference ... is the problem with PageStream or Yosemite?
