In the Dutch magazine (CT) stood a solution to get this working.
Maybe it works for you too.
When you remove the USB-connector from your
pc and put it back, Windows should recognize the printer. Because,
since Windows 8, Microsoft uses a printer driver system that
simply automatically detects the printer and installs
automatically the printer driver for your printer. That should be
sufficient for normal print tasks.
If you want to print more complicated print tasks
(PageStream? - Theo), than download the recent Windows 8.1-drivers
from the support-site from your printer manufacturer (Canon, HP,
or whatever), and install that one.
In Windows 10 there is, technically, little changed on the printer
driver part. If you use the 64-bit Windows (8 or 10), make sure
you install the 64 bit printer driver!
Happy printing!
