I just wanted to say that I am *very* happy with the progress in PgS Linux.
When it gets to the point that I can trust it with one of my projects I will
be very happy indeed! The speed is unbelievable (though expected) compared to
using PgS Amiga in UAE-JIT. It is painful to go back to UAE and PgS Amiga
where full page view redraws drag (though 100% view is much better) and fonts
mis-display on the screen depending on the view magnification (the joy of
toggling triumvirute and times) and sometimes don't display at all
(characters are there, just not rendered to the display).

Having a native PgS again is a dream coming true. I hope a linux version helps
you with an OS X native version as well: there is substantial unrest in the
Quark domain and while most who are leaving seem to be heading for Indesign
there is an opportunity there as well.

Oh, and on the subject of OS X (though you may already know all of this) I
would strongly recommend using Apple's font management system rather than
relying on Suitcase. As far as I can tell, especially with 10.3 where things
have been tidied up a bit, the built in font management system can do most
anything Suitcase can. The app just needs to be written to take advantage of
it.

Well, I am uploading a new version now, and it should be 99%. I won't say
100% because I have had it lock up once when quiting (it seemed to have
locked the system with a modal requester or something that wasn't open?)
and it crashed once when choosing print setup. I've seen the later twice
before, but it always dies way deep in CUPS, so I can't figure out for sure
if it is a problem in PageStream that caused it, or CUPS has something
flaky with generating PPDs.

Anyway, thanks!
