Hello,
I just started seeing some behavior which, if it was occuring before, I certainly hadn't noticed. Namely, that when a document is opened the window title has the file name marked with an asterisk to indicate that something has changed. And the save icon in the toolbar is not ghosted, indicating the same thing. However, the undo command is ghosted and sensibly says "Can't Undo".
This happens with existing documents that I work on, I noticed because I opened a document to look up some information, but hadn't changed anything (intentionally) and when I came back later is was giving me the indicator. Strange, I thought, and -- as nothing should have been changed -- I closed it without saving changes.
So I tried opening it again to see what would happen. Immediately on open it is marked with an asterisk. I closed it and tried with another document. Same thing. If there was font substitution going on I could understand, but these documents came from this environment and I was just working on them.
I finally found a document which opens without being marked as something changed. Any ideas?
