OK, I seemed to have stumbled over a bug or system incompatability or
PgS in a bad mood, but I've replicated this several times:

1. Create document
2. Create text frame.
3. Insert text into said text frame.
4. Highlight some text.
5. Cut (or copy) highlighted text.
6. Click cursor elsewhere on the page, outside of the text box.
7. Click paste.
8. "PageStream has unexpectedly quit."

Running newest 5.0 PageStream Pro, Debian 'Etch' (testing)
distribution, KDE 3.5

Confirmed also for me. In fact I only have to paste any text in the
clipboard in- or outeside of textframes to make PS crasch.

My system:
AMD Athlon
Matrox 650
1 GB memory
FC4 with all updates
Xorg 6.8.2
Qt 3.3.5 compiled from source
KDE 3.5.0 compiled from source

Regards

Testing here within the same text frame. With right click menu or from top
menu you get the warning window. With ctl-c ctl-v you get instant vanishing.

I get the same results, and for trying to cut & paste graphics. Submitted
bugzilla report.

Same occurs to me on my Debian System. Have discovered this bug a few days
ago, the only difference being that I pasted the text immediately after the
copied text, that is I pasted the text in the same text frame and....
boom!.

Regards.

I had discovered this with an old document, but not a new one.
Even in a column, it crashes. The good news is that you CAN select text and
use the mouse to MOVE it to another place. Deron has always had lots of ways
to do things!
Athlon 64
1 gb memory
KDE 3.4.2 Level "b"
PgS 5.0.2.10
64-bit Suse Linux 10
Printing is still great, though! Just got a report that a .pdf file worked
nicely on Windows! Though I have Win98 installed, due to UTF-8 disk encoding
Win98 is useless (except with Win PgS 4.0, of course!).
One subtle point, though, I DID NOT necessarily update my liblinc.so.1 32-bit
file, since Gnome does not use it on my system. But I rather think it might
be a UTF-8 thing....?

Thanks for the report. I'll try and get an update out today so everyone can
go back to using the latest release!
