I recently noticed that BME when "Opening" a file, reads the parameters, but
displays no image. This predates the GtkClip upgrade ( I just
deleted /home/deron and PgS still works) to .12. I executed some earlier
versions with the same results--no picture. One other program (Adobe Reader
7.0) "lacks permission" to open any file in ~/ , but will open files selected
by a browser from the internet. BME seems to refuse loading properly
anywhere. I tried using root with no success. Exception: From Konqueror I
can open images in BME, and the picture displays.
I am running a current upgrade of Suse-64 10 (except for the 240mb+
OpenOffice.org upgrade) with KDE 3.4.2 Level B, with PageStream5Pro.
All libraries seem to be available.
gdb only returned 2 failures on BME startup, I think the same as PgS did. No
failure indicated upon loading an image (but not displaying it).
