There appears to be a style bug in PgS 5.0.3.4 Linux such that when defining a
new style or editing an existing one that has no font defined the default
font is forcibly set for the style.

Note, this bug is not present in 5.0.3.3

Are you saying that even though you have "<none>" selected for the font,
when you click OK and reedit it now shows a font selected...

or

Are you saying that even though the style tag properly shows "<none>"
for the font, when you apply it to text it still changes the font?

Either way works for me, but at least I would no which way to hammer on
it. Some changes were made similar to the first condition, so maybe that
fixed it also? (I know you can't answer that one.)

Yep. And it did so repeatedly unless I used an older version.

Thanks for looking into things.

I can't reproduce this, so I am going to chalk it up as "fixed" or
"works for me". If you find the next version to still cause you trouble,
I'll take another look at it. I don't think Deron is planning on a
Windows/Linux update for early/mid October, but if enough of these
multi-platform problems are found and fixed I would expect that would
change.

I tried a NEW Character Style with NO BASE STYLE and with "Type Style:Outline
Shadow, Size:10pt, Width:130%" and the text in a text column WAS NOT my
default font. There was no conversion to my default.

I tried a NEW Paragraph Style with NO BASE STYLE and with "Type Style:Bold,
Size:22pt, Width:100%" and the text in a text frame WAS NOT my default font.
There was no conversion to my default.

There was no conversion to my default font in either Text Style. I did not
SAVE these styles, but I did "OK" the edits of the new styles. They applied
appropriately to the test text.
PageStream Pro 5.0.3.4 on Suse 64 10.0 without updates to OpenOffice &
Acrobat, but all else updated Sept. 28. (I could see how the OpenOffice
update might change something) Well, the 32-bit liblink.so is from Suse 9.2,
but I don't think it operates in this case. (WOW! The lib list using "uname
-r;ldd PageStream5Pro" in root Konsole has dropped to maybe 62 libs! And I
suppose I can delete 32-bit liblinc.so because it is no longer in the list?)
On the other hand, I think I remember the font addition happening, maybe under
3.3, or earlier.
