Open two views, view a page in one and its master page in the second. Nudge an
object on the master page and it moves to the other page.

Actually it doesn't have to be the masterpage of a page, just a masterpage.
Though if you first open a document and two views, navigate to the master
page and edit there is no problem.

I can't test these _yet_ but I'll try to do it in the next few days. I
don't have a copy of PageStream 5.0.3.4 right now on this computer.

I'll bet this is not new to 5.0.3.4, but your undefined font issue
probably is.

I opened a document (some pictures with cut lines on a master page). Then I
opened a second window. I moved to Right Master Page. I selected one of the
lines. I selected the Edit Palette, and selected the X right arrow. The
line disappeared and was found nudged and on the first window.

I just went back to PgS and the "1 of 49" reminder came up--rather timely!
The documents I tested were created in 5.0.3.3 or before.
I opened a new document and created a 2 column text frame. I opened a new
window and placed a line on it. I opened the text editor and nudged the
line. Worked as expected. This is not a complete test, but could the problem
have been in 5.0.3.3? I went back and did it again, saving and then
reloading and repeating. It still worked!

Hi Tim,

I don't have access to Linux for i86, but under Linux PPC I can't
reproduce these problems. Could it be theme related or ?? I could have
sworn I had seen problems like this myself but I can't reproduce them
with either of these.

Not that I know of. PageStream has so many unique features. The problem
is that because they are unique you only get to use them in PageStream
and I'm sure folks forget they exist unless they use PageStream on a
regular basis.

Well, I can't guarantee it isn't, but I don't see how the theme would affect
this. I'll try to come up with some exact, minimal steps, but no promises on
when I'll get that done Sad

I so rarely use any other DTP application... although I also have the
misfortune of doing a report each morning in MS Word. It is compiled from
various sources and we have all sorts of interaction issues. Some things are
pasted in from Firefox and some from Internet Explorer because it works
better that way in the respective cases. Weird, eh? (If anything you'd expect
it to always work better from IE than Firefox, but nope.)

My colleague (we switch off who does the report) was having fits with one
section which is two columns. Word insisted on putting column breaks in the
middle of tables (even though the tables are identically sized so it should
be a simple 2x2 arrangement). Times like that I wish I could use PgS but
unfortunately my colleague would not be able to handle the cut & paste issues
(it would have to be able to take a table copied from a browser and paste it
as a table that could be readily resized and edited -- flawlessly; typical
edits are select all text in the table and set the font/size, delete columns,
delete rows -- this is one area in which Word actually does a reasonable
job). That and I'd have to teach him how to use it ;^)

I know this problem existed, but I opened a two-page (no chapters, so may not
be equivalent). I changed pages on View 1 and the View 2 page ALSO changed.
I closed View 2, selected View 1 and it operated normally.
I opened a View 2 and copied a half-page fold mark in View 2. I tried several
times with and without a reselection of View 2 and NONE moved to View 1.
Again, I know this existed earlier. I think the creation version might enter
into this problem. I think it did this when the file was CREATED in an
earlier version, even though saved several times in the current version.
Suse 64 10.0 PageStream Pro 5.0.3.4.
Even with the occasional wart, PageStream is one fantastic program!
