I have found a problem:
In the Line & Fill window, if I set the "stroke" checkmark in "line"
tab, the selected object become stroked.
If I remove that checkmark the object continue to be stroked.

You may very well need to click on it again. It is a tri-state check
box. On, Off, Ignore/Mixed. That way for example if you select two boxes
and one is stroked and the other is not you can still set the fill
without changing the stroke.

You can also simply use the Toggle Stroke script command from the script
menu.

Now it works. And it works tristate as you said.
I had to re-open PageStream.
