Ok this worked a few verisions ago. Try to save the bitmapped image of a pagestream document and PageStream does a hard crash..

checked the ourput from the commandline and i get

ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib64/libv4l/v4l2convert.so' from /etc/ld.so.preload cannot be preloaded: ignored.
^^^^^ that line is from starting pagestream.

./Run-PageStream5Pro: line 5: 15961 Segmentation fault $PGSPATH/PageStream5Pro
^^^ this shows up after pagestream crashes.

Using opensuse 11.1 and KDE 4.2

Not really a helpful output. Shamefully, OS X seems to have the best
crash log output for customers to report with.

Can you tell me how you tried to generate the bitmap? Printing to a
bitmap file, or did you select the objects and try to export to a
bitmap? They both cause a bitmap to be rendered, but bunch of other
things go on.

If I can't reproduce the problem I'll ask for some additional details.

ok did a few more tests..
tried a plainer font..
did the same type if gradient fill on it. (making a banner)
did one with just a single letter.. It did the print as a bitmap, but!
the character was only half formed.. is missing the lower half.
tried with multiple letters, oh one per page.. around 650 points, it is that size for the single font.
it does the print as a bitmap, same result, all the letters are clipped at the bottom half.

hope this helps..
need to do more testing with other fonts...
