I have just installed Mandriva 2010.1 and now I can't import jpeg files. The
error message is: "File format is not recognized"

EPS files still makes Pagestream close down without any warning

Anyone else having this problem?

Try running PageStream from a shell. Maybe it is not finding the Jpeg
shared library?

Running PageStream from a shell produce no errors. It must be a Mandriva
2010.1 related problem, because PageStream runs without this problem on the
the former Mandriva distributions.

What is the name of the jpeg library (or what it is called) that PageStream
relies on for working with jpeg pictures?

If you didn't get an error to the console/shell when you tried to import
a jpeg, then it is most likely not a missing library.

What version of PageStream are you using? Different versions used
different libraries.

Ohhhh .....

When loading a jpeg picture, I get this from shell:
(PageStream5:11999): GnomeUI-WARNING **: gnome_app_remove_menus: couldn't find
first item to remove!

I'm pretty sure that 5.0.5.1 has the jpeg library static linked, so that
is not the problem.

The warnings you list are not related.

Just to be sure, can you send me a jpeg that doesn't import? Send to
support@grasshopperllc.com. If you are positive that you have
sucessfully imported these files on a prior release, that is not the
problem but better safe than sorry...

I will ..... I am very sure it works with prior releases of Mandriva, and It
is a jpeg only problem. If I change the format to eg. bmp there is no problem
importing it to PageStream
