Well, if everyone could ask and answer their question in one email, it
really would be Smile

My mistake, I asked 2 questions last week which went unanswered and thought
I would test a theory. Smile

It made sense that one of the questions I asked went unanswered
("Has anyone installed Pagestream 32 bit on Chakra Linux 64 bit?")
If everyone that did not have that experience answered "no", then this would
be a very lively list indeed Wink
Aparantly no active list members have experience using Pagestream on Chakra.
For my own part, I have decided to move to Linux Mint Debian instead. 32 bit
Pagestream seems to work well on that distro.

The answer to other question is of much more interest to me at this time.

I've been using PageStream more frequently lately and this requester issue
is starting to bug me a bit. It sounds like the issue was actually fixed
a couple of years ago.

So I was wondering, is there the possibility of a bugfix release in the near
future?

Thanks for reading,
glad to hear that things are just quiet.

See ya

I use PageStream 64bit on Mint 14 64 bit works like a champ, though I still
have requester bug and print issues
have to save as PDF in order to print, opening print requester crashes

Thanks for your reply,

I just tested the 32 bit version of Pagestream 5.x.x.x on the current 64 bit
LMDE KDE spin. (Mint built on Debian Testing (wheezy))

My first effort failed. Did a quick re-install, (testing in virtual box) and
took a very careful approach to post install. Got PageStream working with no
immediate errors.

I will post a quick howto to the list later this week so the information
will be available to others.

I suspect it won't be long before 32 bit compatability disappears all
together. Sad

See, it is the question with no answer that doesn't get a response Sad

I'll see what I can do tomorrow. I must say the last Mac release really
took the air out of me...

Busy weekend, glad to hear back.

I thought the Mac was supposed to make everything simple Smile

Anyway I look forward to trying an update when you get the chance.
