an interesting note: I can change the font to Gill sans Bold in 4.1 and
save it. 5.0 then displays the font. But it only works with Gill sans
Bold. No other member of the family or another font works. ( haven't
tried every font yet!)

the text issue also shows up on my computer using 5.0.1.28de running
win2000 on a P4 w/256 ram. 4.1 still runs fine. I can see large pt Gill
Sans text on the demo version in sheets previously created. If I change
the font, it disappears. I can change the size and it is ok. SO, Gill
Sans Bold seems to be the only font that shows up. Where the text is not
showing, there appears to be no text as I can't select it to change the
font.

You're a brave man if you try every font on your computer! I wouldn't do
it inasmuch as Deron expect to have a fix within the next couple of days.

I don't have sans bold. It doesn't work with Gill MT bold on my machine.
(This computer arrived out of the box with a couple of hundred fonts on
it. I think the developer who created the installation disc for Dell
must have had them on his or her machine and accidentally included them
in the installation. Most of them are good quality professional fonts.
Nothing from those "thousands of fonts" CDs.)
