Hi,

I think I have the invisible text problems fixed, and I would like a few
brave soles to download and test it if they can. If it works, I'll post the
full new archives and get the web site updated.

I didn't have links from the secure download page added because this is
short term and I don't want to confuse anyone. I have uploaded two
archives. The both have new libraries and rsc files, plus the appropriate
new PageStream (either 5.0 or 5.0 Pro). (a few other minor things are fixed
as well, but this is the important one of course!)

You should be able to paste these urls into your browser. It will ask for
your username and password (give the same you would use to enter the
download section), and then it should start downloading the file.

For
PageStream5.0:

For PageStream5.0
Pro:
http://www.grasshopperllc.com/Secure/Windows/PageStream50P/PageStream5protest.zip

Of course, if you have the time, and text worked for you before, please
download and install these anyway to make sure I didn't screw something
else up. Always a risk when I'm in a hurry!

Deron:

As one of those who've been moaning about invisible text, I'd be willing to
test these, but I've been unwilling as yet to jump into 5.0 (I have the 5.0
demo) and spend my money not knowing what I'll get...
Would you also post a 4.1.6.28 pro test zip?

Mike

Everything seems about the same as far as display goes for my system
(Win98SE, 128 Meg, 650mhz P3) with the Pro version. The Type 1 fonts do
not appear. I will try and get 'atmfm' reinstalled tomorrow to see if
that is the problem.

Actually, your Type1 fonts would be a different issue all together. I
should have asked a more specific question. Do your TTF fonts work?

Text still OK on my machine but the missing strips on the printout are
still there. Prints OK with the older versions - 4.1.5.6 etc.

Yes they do. On my laptop screen fonts such as Baskerville 10pt are a
bit uneven on the screen, but at greater resolution or when printed they
are fine.

I would guess that the Type 1 fonts are on you 'to do' list. Smile)
