As you did see 'I' finally got Python working.
Alone, PGS isn't looking for the place where it should be.
In Preferences/Folders scripts are located at the correct place, but
Scripts/Play External Script looks in another place.

Okay, I got the folder Scripts in a folder with PageStream, and the
folders: Locale, Softlogik and so on.
All my documents and graphics are on another disk. And PGS is looking
in/on that disk...
