Hi Deron:
I haven't been keeping up on the bugs reported on the list lately, so I apologize if I repeat an already reported bug.
- Prefs: When setting 'folder' paths the last folder name is dropped. E.g. I select C:\my documents\PageStream\Documents\backup, which also shows in the browser requester. What goes into Prefs is - C:\my documents\PageStream\Documents\ The same problem exists on the 'General' page in 'saving backups'
- Zoom >299: The display doesn't render properly at zoom of 300 and above. One page I am working on has only line objects. The lines all disappear and all that shows are the two sizing handles for the object that was selected. On another page with box and line objects, the box object seemed the right size but changed colour (originally Cyan became black) and lines appeared as strangely shapped filled objects.
- Line/fill requester: doesn't show line and fill colours correctly.
- The Rotate requester doesn't show horzontal flips correctly. The function works properly but show incorrectly in the requester window.
- Flipping pages doesn't fill the window properly: I have a document with several pages. The first page fills the window. When the document is switched to page 2 there is still a strip about 1/16th inch wide of page 1 left along the bottom of the window just above the horizontal scroll bars. If PgS is minimized and then maximized the window fills properly. With further testing this problem only exists after the window has been minimized and the fault occurs that is described below.
- If PgS is minimized, when it is then maximized the document window is moved up and placed over the tool bar. If the commands to 'Hide the tool bar', followed by 'Show the toolbar' are performed, everything is returned to the proper place. I see that sometimes the tool bar is visible and then the header bar of the document window is hidden by the tool bar.
- Layer Palette: In normal operation, as you switch from page to page the base page layer is always active. But if, for instance, you had been working on page 1 and one of the layers was active, then you switch to page 2, there is no layer active (or maybe the layer of page 1 is still active). and nothing can be done on the page 2 until you click in the margin of the page layer (or some other layer). I think it should automatically make the base page layer active when switching to a new page. PgS 4 also works the same way.
- Transform in layer: I was working in a layer, selected several box objects and attempted to make one copy using Transform, with zero offsets. PgS crashes with fatal error in PAGESTREAMPRO5.EXE. The intent was that once I had the copies, all selected, I could move them to the base page using the Move to Page command. I then tried selecting one object and transforming with default offset, PgS crashes every time. I tried this in PgS 4, the transform works. The only problem is that the new copies are not left selected at the end of the Transform action.
- PgS seems to get old, much the same as I do, after a while some things don't work properly. I had 2 faults in the function of layers written up, which aren't there now that I've rebooted PgS.
That's it for now.
