More problems with PageStream Pro 5.0.1.30

- Line termination:
If I try to terminate either end of a line with anything but
'flat' the line doesn't display. I continued applying
dimension lines using PgS 4, none show in PgS 5.
- During further testing I discovered that any action using
the 'Line/fill requester causes the menu headers to be
ghosted, and no other function can be performed on that
object until it is deselected and then reselected.

- Layers:
Whenever the viewing of a layer is turned off or on by the
little eye of the layer palette, the program thinks that the
document content has changed. This problem exists with PgS 4
as well.

Bye for now.

Hi,

I've been thinking about this, and i can see it both ways. The visibility
_is_ saved with the document and reloaded, which is why the document
content is marked as changed. It has been.

So how do other people feel about this?

I feel the document has been changed. I think you need to spend your
time on more important issues like patching v4.16.31 so it will print.

Ok, Thanks.

Certainly more important issues are always available than most any one
persons pet peeves. But everyone deserves an answer if it is a legitimate
post. I don't always come through on it, but I try.

Concerning your inability to print, I don't have a magic bullet yet. It
works here, and for most folks. 3 Folks have reported white bands in there
output (they all have Canon inkjet printers, which I do not), and you and I
recall one other couldn't print anything. Like past Windows problems like
this, I just keep changing things some until it works. No rhyme or reason
on Windows sadly. A newer release is being uploaded and should be available
in the next day or so (depends on troubles getting it uploaded from my 18k
connection).

Sorry, I didn't realize my post seemed so snippy, but after reading it,
I see that it was. I really didn't intend it to be.

I do think when ANYTHING changes, no matter how significant or
insignificant it may seem to be, the program should ask before exiting.
I say this because I have on occasion touched a key accidentally while
viewing a document and I was thankful that I got the requester asking if
I wanted to save the changes. When I get it and have made no intentional
changes, I just click "no."

Hi Deron et all:

I've been slow in replying as I have been away for a month.

When I reported this point it had not occurred to me that
the visibility might have been saved with the document, as
the windows version always displays all the layer after a
reload, no matter what the visibility settings were at the
end of the previous session.

And of course I agree that there are far worse problems, but
none the less every (perceived) one should be reported.
