Hi Deron:
I've only loaded version 5 on the laptop. When I did the
last work and bug reports on version 5, I didn't try
printing as I was modifying images and outputting them as
JPG's. Well, the other day I did some work that needed to be
printed. When I went to print, PgS didn't know the right PPD
file, so I found it and got PgS pointed in the right
direction, but no luck. I was able to move the file over to
the desktop machine and print it with version 4. Well to day
I finally installed .34 on the laptop. The PPD file is
correct but nothing is sent to the printer. My HP Laserjet
4000 never wakes up. I can't figure out what the problem
might be? Version 4 would always print from the laptop.

Looking for some guidance.

Hi,

Sounds like you have choosen "PostScript File". That won't send directly to
your printer. You need to choose "Windows" instead. The wording could
certainly be better.

Hi again:
Once I selected 'Windows' it then allowed me to go to
windows setup, which produced a requester that I'm familiar
with, but still nothing gets to the printer. I wondered if
something else might be wrong so I fired up WordPerfect. It
printed fine.

So I need to be guided a little further.

Thanks.

If I can horn in here, when you click on the button on the right side of
printer/name: you should see a list of printers you have setup on Win.
Select the one you want and then you should have a succession of windows
that let you tailor your printing the way you want. I have a couple of
"print to file" printers set up and it works pretty well for me. Hope
this at least gets you past this little hurdle.
