Hi Deron and all:

Long story.
I had copied .34 over the .33 files. I had the drivers all
selected properly as per previous emails - Don and Peter
Bullock, still nothing to the printer. At some point the OS
(Win ME) crashed (I think, on returning from hibernation)
and - reboot. After that any time I tried to start PgS.34 it
crashed on startup with an "Softlogikoslib.dll error".
I went to the web site and downloaded the full version of
.34 and copied it over the other. PgS still crashed on start
up. Another interesting thing, Explorer crashed at the end
of the copy-over, and the OS had to be rebooted.
I copied .33 over .34 and again the Explorer crashed the OS.
After the reboot PgS still crashed with the same error.

I then made a new folder and copied the full installation of
.34 into it. Now PgS loads properly and prints properly. I
didn't do an extensive test of the printing, but the file I
used had a font on it the would bugger up when printed on
postscript with version 4. It printed perfectly and I could
not tell the difference between the page printed in
postscript and the one printed bitmap.

Off topic---and I don't usually bash Windows---but, in my experience, ME
was the most unstable version of Windows ever produced from 95 on. I
finally bit the bullet and replaced it with XP on both of my machines
and haven't shed a tear over the loss, believe me. It's also the first
version of Windows in which the Windows-native hibernation works
reliably (again, my experience). I'm talking about box computers. On
laptops hibernation was generally customized by the computer maker so it
did work on my laptops regardless of Windows version.

Anyway, glad you had a happy ending.

Hello all,

In printing I got also a problem but not to my Postscript printer (Xerox NC60)
I did chose 'windows' as printer in the setup requestor
But to file printing when I click on save noting is happen.

And also sometimes a crash when loeding a doc after selecting a font (in the requestor,
Amiga PSG doc.) at the start of the document loading.
But you can't lay a finger onit when. Most of the time it is ok an sometimes not.
