I've got me a Canon Pixma 5000.

And there is something wrong with the printed output.
I made an A4-document with rulers, vertical and horizontal, in it.
The size is correspondent to the rulers from PGS.

Now I got two choices:
1. with marge (white marge at the sides of the pages):
horizontal:
1 cm is printed at 1.3 cm and 20 cm is printed at 20.3 cm (consequent
but wrong)
vertical:
1 cm is printed at 1.4 cm and 28 cm is printed at 28.3 cm (slightly
different, but wrong)

2. without marge (full page):
horizontal:
1 cm is printed at 1.2 cm and 20 cm is printed at 20.1 cm (quit different)
vertical:
1 cm is printed at 1 cm (!) and 28 cm is printed at 28.3 cm (quit
different)

Now I know that there is something wrong with the Canon-driver (white
banding). Is this it?

And did you notice Canon about the problems with their driver?
