Hi Deron:

- The change to jpeg resolution is save from operation to
operation (thank you, and much appreciated) but the X & Y
'dots per inch' is not.

- The graphic Export as jpeg does not work properly if the X
& Y location of the object is zero.

I am producing a flyer and it occurred to me that rather
than pint it, in the early stages, I would just jpeg it and
email it for others to comment on.
I grouped all the objects on one page and then exported. The
result was perfect, except that the page margins were
missing. So I made a box with white outline 8.5" x 11" and
placed it behind the other objects, and grouped. This didn't
export properly, so I poofed the big box and made 2, 1/4"
boxes and placed them in opposite corners. And again no luck.
If I move the small box at X = 0 & Y = 0 to X = 0.01 & Y =
0.01, then everything works fine.

When it's not exporting properly, it appears as if the mask
that is produced to define the area to be exported is offset
by a large number in X & Y. If the jpeg dots per inch are
set to '300' then there is just a small corner from the
bottom right of the page, that appears in the top left. When
the jpeg dot per inch are changed to '600', then about 1/4
of the picture shows.

Hope this helps.

Ok. These kinds of things are a per group basis so it won't be across the
board. As they are identified (more specifically as people request it Smile
I'll change it.

The DPI is actually a pagestream function as part of the rendering. Once
the image is created, JPG just saves it Smile

I am betting that since the object has a stroke, it actually has a negative
upper left coordinate and something must be improperly converting that to a
big positive number. I'll look around. Never tried it Smile

Not that it excuses the bug, but in this case if you want a snap shot of
the page(s), then the best bet would be to use the new bitmap printer
driver and actually "print" a bitmap of the page. Same basic thing, but you
don't need to put any dummy box on the page as it will output a full bitmap
of the entire page (actually, you can pick the "paper" size it will be
outputing to).
