Thanks André!

A very nice start and it looks very promising! Never thought of
mathematic curves automatically drawn within PageStream.
Maybe Tim Doty can have a look also, and maybe he has tips for
programming so that it is 'PageStream running'.
I do not doubt your, and your son, programming, but Tim had also a steep
learning curve (I not, I didn't even started to program Very Happy ).

For a start: you have to make your program so, that it can be translated
to English and other languages.
My French is rusty Wink , my technical French is a bit better than nothing.

The program itself:
I do not know how to start, I just clicked two points in a new document
(you HAVE to have a document open!) and let the program proceed. I
clicked two points very close to each other, two points very wide to
each other but within the page size.
It does make something, but it's huge, bigger than my document! If I try
to group the drawing to make it smaller, PageStream 5.0.4.4 crashes.
Even the latest PGS version!
PGS crashes if you group anything outside a normal document, so in the
pasteboard (Deron!).
But what I saw is a beautiful sinus form, so the program does do it's work.

And the best wishes to you too and anyone who is reading this.
And André, I hope you can read this, or let Babelfish
(http://nl.babelfish.yahoo.com/) translate this.

The code that j' wrote n' is not very beautiful, if Tim looks at that,
it will smile! This program is right fact to plot curves in PageStream
easily. This n' is not tools mathematics very powerful. Jesuis
professor and j' needed to often plot simple curves in my documents

COMPLEMENT OF HELP
open a new document.
---------------------------------
You must be in mm for the units.
---------------------------------
If not, dimensions are multiplied by 25.4!
Therefore, in the preferences, it is necessary to choose millimetre.
launch TRACEUR_plus_beta.py script.
The first requester open and asks you to fix the point in top and on
the left of the zone of layout which you wish.
I do not know why, but should then be clicked 2 times. First once to
find itself with the active cursor in the page of PageStream and
second once to fix indeed the point in top on the left of the zone of
layout which you wish.

The principal requester open. It is necessary to inform different zone
of this requester and to click proceed ...........
(I use Windows Vista Home Premium and Python 2.4)

J' try to translate this evening the program itself.
J' hope that will go for you and all those which will want to plot curves.

Tanks Teo

Well, professor (professeur = teacher), this is a big help (preference
in mm)!
Now it's in the drawing limits, though offset on (!) the page. Good!
Is it me, that it doesn't differ what size I point out, the size of the
drawing is always the same. Ah, you did mention this.

If you want I can translate it also. If you do want it to do yourself
then a big help is:http://synoniemen.net/ the interface is Dutch
(Nederlands) but it easy to understand. Otherwise the original from that
is:http://www.memodata.com/ , and it's in the French language!

If I correctly understand your question
You can change the width and the height of the box with the two first
list of the main requester
Largeur zone de trace X Width of the box
Hauteur zone de trace Y Heigth of the box
The two lists make it possible to define dimensions from 100 to 290
millimetres

You can translate as you want. The aim is that this script is
available to as many users PageStream

You understand this correctly! In the mean time I did look at the
resource file (as you already can see - private e-mail).
