Hi Deron:

You've encourage me to carry on - silly fellow Smile

- - - - - - - - - - - -
*** Using Text/Creating Text Frames and Text Blocks/How to create text
column frames/2. Click Create. ***

This information block should be divided over 3 lines, instead of two.
This would likely be caught in the wash as the document is being refined
later. There are several information blocks in the manual that are too
wide for my page. I'm viewing with MS Explorer.

*** Using Text/Creating Text Frames and Text Blocks/How to draw a text
column frame/ from the 'or' on. ***

This description is mostly new and good but there are some spots that
could be change to improve clarity.

"Select the Text Tool for a text single column frame"
I understand this statement, but I suspect that a newbie might be
confused. I suggest -
'Create a single column frame using the Text Tool

Choose the Text tool'

"When you follow step 2. and click at the start point of the frame,"
I feel that this sentence is unnecessary and can be left out, but if you
want to keep it change it to read - 'Then follow step...'

*** Using Text/Creating Text Frames and Text Blocks/How to create a text
block ***

At the end of this section I suggest the insertion of an info. block
that reads something like -
'Note - When the Text Cursor is place over a blank area, if it is
clicked and released a text block is started, if it is clicked and
dragged a single column text frame is created. Either action may be
followed by typing and the text will appear in the object.'

*** Customizing PageStream/The Toolbox Tab/Sides ***
After the comma, something is missing or mangled. My guess is that is
should read 'from 3 to 299'?

*** Customizing PageStream/Amiga System Preferences/Screen
preferences/Type: ***
The last sentence in this paragraph - I'm having trouble with it. It
needs some changing, which may be as little as adding a comma between
the words "screen" & "unless".
- - - - - - - - - - -

More to come. Stealing a few minutes here and there.

Bring it on!

The blocks are supposed to be 100% of the current width. For example, the
block you mention has only one long sentence. The MS Explorer is breaking
it into 2 lines. I just checked it out, and I see what is going on. For
some reason, MS Explorer doesn't take into account the indentations.
Figures. I'll have to go back and change all gazillion of them to
something. Not sure what will work for it. If I take the indent out, and
set it to 90% of width centered, that seems to work for Explorer at least...

Anyone try the new help in any other browser?

Noted and rewritten. Reads better now. Thanks!

The back reference is nice, but since it is the paragraph before, it gets a
bit redundant. The section on dragging out a new text frame with the text
tools doesn't mention creating text blocks/frameless text objects.

Thanks. It is actually 3 to 999 (which is pretty much a circle Smile

Comma works for me. Thanks!

Same here! I'll probably put something online so I can move on to the next
release of PageStream, but you can continue to provide feedback at will,
and I'll plug the changes in as I can.
