Hi Deron:
Some more. I'm now working with the latest release.
- - - - - - - - - - *** Chapters *** This chapter is perfect.
*** Pagination *** This chapter is perfect.
*** Rulers and Measurements *** I'm having trouble with the second paragraph as the word "system" is describing two different things. I'm having trouble getting my mind around a possible fix, but here goes. The original - "PageStream allows you to set four measurement systems for your document. There are separate horizontal and vertical measurement systems, so you could use inches vertically and picas horizontally. The relative measurement system is used for non-directional measurements, such as nudging objects and line lengths, and the text measurement system is used for measuring type size and leading." and the suggestion - 'The measurement capabilities of PageStream are separated into four functions. These are horizontal, vertical, relative and text. The measurement system [the words 'measurement system' should be made into a link to the measurement system description farther on, in the subsection "To override the measurement system in a text box:"] used by each of these functions is set separately. The separate horizontal and vertical functions allow you the flexibility, for instance, to use inches vertically and picas horizontally. The relative function is used for non-directional measurements, such as nudging objects and line lengths, and the text function is used for measuring type size and leading.'
*** Guides and Grids *** This chapter is perfect.
*** Reports ***
*** Document Window/ To close an extra window: *** This statement is written for the Amiga. I suggest leaving the word "left" out, and it will be good for both the amiga and windows.
*** Putting Text on the Page/Creating Text Frames/How to draw a text column frame/3. Release the mouse button to end the frame. *** In this sentence the word "would" should probably be 'will'.
*** Putting Text on the Page/Creating Text Frames *** I have a suggestion to change the layout. Add 'How to draw a text column frame using the text tool' as the third subsection. This feature could also be buried in the second subsection as an 'or' statement, but would be sort of messy. Also bump up "To change the number of columns in a text frame after creating it:" to the fourth subsection, as it applies to any text frame. In the summary you have a heading "Text Frame Options" which doesn't appear in the body, but links to this spot? - - - - - - - - - - Peter martin
