I pestered you years ago regarding the possibility of adding an index generating feature in PageStream. It is such a PITA creating indexes, ESPECIALLY for a production as large as my music book. I reformatted the original book, cuz the text was way to small for my aging eyes to read. Almost everybody I have shared the book with has begged me to make an interactive index... tap the title in the index and jump to the song. Doing so is WAY beyond my skills. I am wondering if anyone has created a sub-program to generate an index and if they are willing to share it?

I know years ago you considered creating a library of publishing efforts that PageStream users were willing to share. I can't see such a thing mentioned here. Guess it went the way of the pterodactyl..... Not sure if my music book would be something others would want... cuz the size of the original .pgs file is 670mb.... ...well over 700 songs with chords in it.

I assume you are not talking about an actual index like https://pagestream.org/?action=Documents&id=759 (already built into the program), but to make PDF export use those indexes (and/or table of contents) to make hyper text links to the content in the PDF file?

Hmmmm... not sure if that IS what I am talking about. Will check it. I should mail you a copy of my huge music book file and see if you can make suggestions. It is TOO BIG to send via Internet, I fear... as I said, over 600 megs....

That would be a great addition - having a PDF index - linkable to internal pages and external webpages as an additional feature - if at all implementable?
