I have found that Calibri Bold Italic typefaced text disappears at zoom levels between 100% and nearly 150%.

Confirmed, it is probably a rather specific issue affecting this font in MorphOS.
I guess Calibri Bold Italic refers to the MicroSoft font supplied with various Windows versions ?

If you open the Insert Character requester, it already shows some issue as well

It is probably related to the amount of glyphs in the font or something similar.
