Hello Folks,
Just an FYI, we are running right now on battery power because the generator did not start after changing the oil this afternoon. We are in a near white-out blizzard right now and it looks like the generator got packed with snow/ice inside. I've carried it into the house so it can thaw and dry. Either that, or we have water in the gas tank. If either of these are the problem, I will get it fixed and we will continue to be online tomorrow. If I can't get the generator started I may not have enough battery power to run the satellite dish, so don't be alarmed if you don't hear from me. We have plenty of food, water and heat (and gas) to last several weeks, just no way we are going to drive out of here for at least a week. The ground was saturated with an unusually heavy rain before it got cold and turned to snow (5+ foot drifts and tore down our main corral fence). The driveway (6.5miles) will be impassible for some time I am guessing. The good news is this should help the drought and fill a few ponds! I know our pond by the house filled _before_ the snow came.
This could be a good thing. I could take a few days to get the house cleaned up and painted so I can finally be fully set up, just can't seem to pry myself away from programming
