Hello!
In the 11 days since the previous release many bugs have been reported
and squashed. The fixed list below only includes changes in 5.0.4.12,
which is a pretty good sized list for 11 days, if I do say so myself 
If you have any problems, I ask that you report them on the
PageStreamMacintoshBeta mailing list so that problems can be identified
and solved as quickly as possible. This release is _not_ complete, so
the first order of business would be to read over the list of things
still to be done. They shouldn't prevent this release from being used,
but it might save you and I some aggravation.

object fill.
+ Multiple table cells can be split at one time now.
+ When a table cell is split all resultings single unit cells are selected.
+ Control-C/Control-D/Shift-Control-D mnemonics is working now.

+ Autoselect the upper-left string control in a dialog box.
+ Cursor keys can now be used to scroll around the page, or
shift-left/right moves up/down pages and shift-up/down scaled the page
up/down. If you are in text mode this only works when no cursor is
placed and if in object/reshape/crop mode this only works when no object
is selected. Always works in drawing modes.
+ Document window scrollbar controls have better consistent height now
+ Document windows live scroll now
+ No alpha blending for ruler lines. The rulers are now really plain
looking. Anyone with a ruler they like the look of take a snapshot and
send it to me at support@pagestream.org.
+ Picture/EPS/Drawing Object Information File path is an editable string now
+ Ruler background now draw consistently (if not rather plain!)
+ Fixed problem where disabled icons would show garbage sometimes.
+ The icons passed to the toolbar are boosted to double size right now.

around (it was part of the update routine for the ruler tick marks. Very

+ Fixed Gessele-Script font support. The font didn't report a family
name, so now one is synthesized for such odd fonts.
+ Font Dialog sample can now be any unicode character.
+ Increased width of Font Dialog and Set Font Text Sample Dialog.
+ Fixed File Requester to return proper file name when opening document
(bad bug that was introduced in last version).
+ Save as PDF no longer sets the creator type for the file, so that .pdf
file extension can take control.
+ Font substitution when opening a document/importing/placing can now be
cancelled and the loading/appending will be cancelled. This needs to be
tested well since canceling out at this point is all new.
+ Fixed convolve effect module crash when opened and changed to use the
new limitless font paths.
+ Added pref file DEBUG option DEBUG SHOWFONTS that will dump the font
file name as it is scanned from adding font paths.
+ Fixed the Use System Fonts checkmark (it was always on and couldnt' be
turned off at reboot).
+ Got timers working (bad documentation, bad!) and now typing and other
things should seem much faster!
+ Qualifer key change and timers where not recognized when dragging the
mouse.
+ Qualifer keys (shift/ctrl/alt/option/command) did not register right
away and required a mouse move.
+ Custom mouse forms on PPC was oddly displayed.
+ Custom mouse forms were reversed left to right, and the hot spot was off.
