I've just noticed something really goofy when printing a font test
page in Mac v 5.0.4.37. Two copies of the page print (every time).
The first seems to print normally, but the second copy prints very
slowly, and the printed copy is stretched slightly taller than the
first copy. The stretching begins at the center, and the top and
bottom margins of Copy 2 are approximately 1/16" smaller than those of
copy 1.

Also, some fonts don't print all characters correctly. For example,
Apple Chancery printed with an open box instead of the "C" in
Chancery. "Zapfino" looks like "Za?ino" with thecolors reversed on
the question mark--white question mark on black background. And in
"Hoefler Text Regular," the "lf" didn't print at all.

The page wouldn't print at all when I had one line of Papyrus on it.

There are no graphics on the page.

A couple other folks have reported a second copy, and the issue with
fonts is probably a known one (you will notice I just reworked PDF
output, and the download note mentions I will be re-working PostScript
font issues).

Some of that sounds like ligatures, and if you turn ligatures off you
will probably get better results. Obviously should still work and should.

For those of your with printing troubles, could you post the problems
you are having and what printer you are using and how you are connected
to it? I'm going to be getting another printer here so I can try and fix
the last of these issues and knowing what the most troublesome printer
is would be a good thing to have here.

I'm most interested in folks who can not print anything, not even a
simpe box, to their printer. The next would be extra copies (though I
fear this is some kind of installation/configuration issue). The issue
with some characters not printing is really not a printer issue but a
PageStream vs font issue.

Hi Deron,

I'm having problems with the printing too.

Using Brother HL-2030 laser and Canon MP150 inkjet - both connected
directly through USB.

When using 'system print' the Brother prints an ok page followed by
one offset (1mm left and 18mm up).
If I send the print to 'preview' or 'print to pdf' the preview and pdf
do not appear but the offset page is printed as above.
If I send to File>Save as pdf - the pdf is ok

Using the' Pagestream print' only the offset page is produced.

On the Cannon exactly the same happens except that all pages are
offset from the equivalent Brother pages (3mm right and 9 mm down)
