Karl mccsj@flash.net here's my original message to Deron Thanks for the note. I'll give you a little more information about what I have tried and what happened. When we downloaded the update (it is the Mac version), it installed and then we restarted the computer as suggested. It actually opened the first time not requesting any info. We brought up a file and tried out a few things to see how they worked. They worked fine. When we quit the file, not saving any changes, then quit the application, a message came up saying that the application had been closed illegally (or something to that effect). After that, any attempt to bring up PS4.0 or PS3.4 resulted in a display of the license agreement and then the request for Name, Passwrd, etc. Then when clicking OK, the application quit. The message said error type 2. Botn versions 4.0 and 3.4. I have tried removing Preference files and extention files and the whole pagestream folder, then installing it again but it always quits. I cannot remove it either, I get a message saying files/folders can't be removed. I also tried to reload the last version (Rev. 8), but it won't work either. Now I have no PS application to use. No other applications on the computer seem to be affected. Perhaps this info will help. Karl Vidt |

Hi my name is Bob Gaudreau.[
I also downloaded the pagestream update on the internet and it wouldn't work either. I have a Apple G-4 OS9. It also gave me an error message, the new download would not work. I used my Sherlock to delete all of PS 4 files and I did so. I installed PS 4 from the cd pagestream sent me and I received the same error message # 2. I performed a clean install on my operating system then installed PS 4 from the cd and it worlked fine. Took one more chance and tried to install the latest update, same error message #2. I deleted the update and tried to install the PS 4 from my cd, same problem. I once again CLEAN INSTALLED MY OPERATING SYSTEM, then installed ps4 from the cd, it works fine, Hope this will help you out. I did finally get PS4.0.5 from my CD installed and working after I erased all PS4 files, Preference files and Softlogik files. Then I was able to reinstall the 4.0.8 update from my backup download file. I'm back where I was before the 4.0.9 download. I'll try to download again and update to 4.0.9 and hope it's fixed.
