Ok, I give up! Smile

As try as I might, I am unable to figure out how to do Tables and Mail
merging using PageStream 4.1.1. Can anyone tell me how to do this please.

Thanks

The readme has details on this. Short summary: Draw the table using the
table toolbox tool. Enter text and set attributes using the text tool, and
add/remove rows/columns and set other stuff using the reshape tool.

First, create variables using define variables and insert them into your
text where you want them. Go to print-> mail merge panel. Check mail merge.
Select the file to mail merge. Then select variables for each field. If you
use label/repeating imposition printing, it will automatically grab the
next record for each "label" on the page.

I haven't been using PageStream as much lately, as it happens, as in
the past. I recently installed 4.1.1 Mac.

I run OS 10.1.2/Classic 9.2.2 on a 300 MHz "Wallstreet" G3 Powerbook.

Currently Pagestream behaves well until I try to print, at which
point it crashes, taking Classic with it.

Same thing happens with 4.0.8 and 4.0.9

Print to file (.ps) works. I can then drop the .ps file in distiller
to create a .pdf file, drop the .pdf in Acrobat, and print from there.

Any suggestions of what to double-check/look for?

I decided to try the imposition feature to print some return labels on
Avery 5160 stock. I created a 2.625" x 1" label and placed it in the
upper left corner where the first label is located on the sheet. I start
the print process and choose imposition, repeating, 3 across and 10
down. NOTHING prints on the page. What am I doing wrong?

I think that for imposition to work the PGS page size has to be set at
the same size as a single label. Imposition will then arrange these
pages on a page the size of the printing paper.

By setting your label in the corner of a larger page (say A4) you are
trying to print 30 copies of an A4 sheet on to a single A4 page.

A question for Mac users with the most recent version of PageStream. Is
it still a Classic only application?

I can answer that. Yes. We are not carbonized or OSX at this time.
