Addendum to message below: Having nothing to lose, I tried to open a
Mac PageStream file in the most recent Windows beta Pro version, and
much to my shock it opened with everything intact except for some
filled boxes used as drop shadows! I am amazed at the amount of work
Deron has put into these different versions of PageStream to the
point that a file can be so cross-platform adaptable.

Because I am frequently out of town I rely on my Mac laptop to get
things done, so I am anxious to have that version up & running again.
(No, I don't have Windows running on the Mac. There is a reason why I
migrated to Macintosh in the first place....) It is great having a
backup on my Windows tower, which I keep only for two programs:
PageStream and Legacy Family Tree.

Hi Again,

Everything should load the same between platforms except any external
font differences. The drop shadows as well. When you get the Mac version
loading documents for you again, would you please check that document
and make sure the drop shadows are displaying the same between the two.

I forgot to address your PDF issues from the previous email. Fonts have
been embedding for a long time now and still do so for me, and the only
shaded fills that don't display in a PDF are the shape fills. Gradient
and radial fills should be displaying just fine in Acrobat Reader. Some
of the non-linear ramp gradient/radial fills don't display in Apple's
Preview but that is a bug on their end that I haven't worked around yet.
