This morning I downloaded the latest beta version of Pagestream for OS X and played with it for the better part of an hour. I consider myself a dabbler, not an expert, so my findings are far from definitive, but everything I tried from my limited bag of tricks worked perfectly with the the new beta version. The problems that I encountered with the previous version when I upgraded to Snow Leopard appear to have been fixed. It's great to have Pagestream back again on my Mac! Thanks, Deron.

Well .... the above certainly sounds encouraing, but certainly not the case here.

Which version of Snow Leopard are you using?

Which version of PageStream on the Mac?

Last night I did one of those «Apple -> Software Update...» operations and ended up with 10.6.3 of Snow Leopard installed. I had been using 10.6.2.

Then I tried to remove any traces of PageStream on the Mac so that I could download the 'latest' version, which, at «http://www.pagestream.org/downloads.php» showed up as version 5.0.5.1a . Upon download of the demo, it became obvious that I had not gotten rid of the 'previous' version on the Mac entirely since it remembered many of my settings, but the 'a' in the version string had disappeared and the version entry reads:

PageStream 5.0.5.1 Pro 06/26/09

which does not sound like the "latest" that you seem to refer to.

It was immediate that 10.6.3 presents PageStream in a slightly different format than did 10.6.2 but the performance appears to be the same and far from "perfectly". Since I am not a PageStream Mac owner, but your are, I'll refrain reporting the behaviour here until I hear from you. As a Mac owner perhaps you have a revised version that is more up to day than the current demo.
