Can anyone remind me, please, how to warp or curve text with 5.0.5.6

If I remember correctly, there used to be a little symbol in the edit window, but it
doesn't seem to be there now. I've tried a script but to no avail.

Thanks All

Select the frameless text object with the object tool, and then flick on
the FX button in the Edit Palette.

If you want to warp or bend to a custom path, then you would select the
frameless text object and the path at the same time and choose the
appropriate script from the script menu.

This requires that you have PageStream Pro.

Thanks for reply, Deron.

I remember the FX button; I used it several times before whilst my Macbook G4 was running Tiger. Then I upgraded and eventually arrived at Snow Leopard. You told me that Snow Leopard was broken and responsible for the text vanishing when selected; I couldn't use PS. Then your new beta arrived that I downloaded, text again visible but no longer am I able to FX the text Sad

On a previous occasion when I'd asked about "pro" and standard version I think your reply was that -at that time?- they were one and the same.
Are you understandably wanting more dosh?! Will readily supply, even to the point of supporting "research" and development, but the ease of use together with satisfaction that I had with my old Atari version has never quite returned with OS X. I have to resort to Adobe; odd as it may seem to many others, I prefer Pagestream when it's working well.

Are you able to offer impartial advice?!

Regards, Mike

Hello Mike,

Maybe I have overlooked something, but according to my records you have
never purchased an upgrade to the OS X version. I would have given you
access on your word that you would either delete it or pay for the
upgrade after evaluating it.

At one time all the betas were the full Pro version. Since the betas
were not fully functional it was easier to give everyone access to the
Pro version and avoid the need for me to build and upload 2 different
betas each time. That is no longer the case.

Every purchase supports "research and development". I'm not sure what
else it should be used for? I suppose more should be spent in sales and
marketing, but that has never been my style. Obviously PageStream5 for
the Mac is going to feel different than PageStream2 for the Atari.
Besides the obvious differences between computers, moving from
PageStream2 to PageStream5 is like stepping from a Cessna into the
cockpit of a 747. I think we have done a great job of integrating the
new features and keeping _most_ of the ease of use. If you have some
specific gripe, I'm happy to address it but I would need to know more
details.

Not sure what I need to be impartial about! If I have missed something,
please let me know. If you did purchase an upgrade, please contact me
privately with any purchase details you may have.

I wanted to publicly post an appology to Mike. I did find his records,
and he is a PageStream5.0 OS X owner. I had looked for "mike w" and
mistook him for another user. Since his email address was a new one, it
didn't match any records. Not an excuse, just explaining where I went wrong.

Deron, again you prove to me why I've stuck patiently with you for
all these years. I just wish all the folks I have to deal with
valued doing the right thing. Life would be so much more fun. 8^)
