Hi

I downloaded the demo called PageStream5.0.2.12demo.ppc, and there is a series of
executables in the folder, all with unix icons (grey box, 'exec' in the corner) and nothing
happens when double clicking on them... or rather 'No application to run xxxxx' appears.

I then tried excuting it from teh command line, eg
./PageStream5Demo and was told ...
-bash: ./PageStream5Demo: cannot execute binary file

What am I to do now?

Cheers, Barney

I can only presume that you downloaded the Linux GTK version of
PageStream. I don't know that anyone has ventured to actually try and
use it on a PPC Mac, but you are going to need to download and install a
fair amount of Linux bits to make it work if it can even be made to
work. Has anyone here actually done this?

Otherwise, we have a native OSX version which we getting pretty close to
a functional demo.

Hi Deron

Thanks for your reply. I selected mac OSX as my choice, and was sent
a URI thus:

which had '.ppc' at the end of it so I assumed it was the powerpc
version? If there is a better demo I can download, could you tell me
how I get it pls? Or is the answer to wait for a functional demo? Im
keen to start now!

Cheers, Barney Clarkson
